Celebrate National Tequila Day with This Margarita

By Lauren Le Vine, REDBOOK.

Sure, you could celebrate National Tequila Day with a regular ol' margarita, but let's be real: It's Wednesday, and you're busy. That's why this Azoteas Verdes Margarita by Jaime Salas is perfect for today's toast to tequila. It combines trendy veggies like kale and radishes to create a savory, drinkable salad, which might sound odd, but trust us, it comes together way better than you'd think. Here's what the drink's creator, Jaime Salas, has to say about his concoction.

"This twist on the classic margarita speaks to America's current obsession with 'super green' juices and the trend of using savory, unexpected ingredients in tequila-based cocktails. Kale is an acquired taste, but it works just as well in cocktails as it does in a salad. In the Azoteas Verdes Margarita, fresh veggies balance perfectly with the oaky flavor of the Repasado, acidity of the lime and sweetness of the agave to create a uniquely refreshing cocktail."
