Guilt-Free Meals Without a Grocery Run

Is the weather or your busy schedule making it hard to get to the supermarket as often as you'd like? Don't stress. Hungry Girl has got you covered with guilt-free meals that you can stock in your pantry.

Breakfast: Fruity Oatmeal

Brrrrrrr... It's cold out there. Want something to warm up your morning that'll be ready in seconds? Just pop some instant oatmeal in the microwave for 90 seconds. While it's cooking, open up a can of fruit packed in juice or water OR a package of freeze-dried fruit to add some crunch. Then mix the oatmeal with your fruity add-in of choice. For a flavor boost, try sprinkling some cinnamon or no-calorie sweetener on top.

HG Fruit Picks: Del Monte No Sugar Added Very Cherry mixed fruit packed in water. It's sweet, juicy, and delicious, with 65 percent fewer calories than the kind packed in light syrup! We also love Funky Monkey Snacks -- the crunchy texture is completely unique, as are the crazy flavor options!

Lunch: Salsa-fied Tuna Stacks with Soup

Show some love to that canned tuna you've got lying around for emergencies. Just mix 1/4 cup albacore tuna (packed in water, and then drained and flaked) with a few spoonfuls of salsa. Divide the mixture between two large rice cakes (we like the lightly salted ones), and you've got a crunchy, zesty, protein-packed treat! The whole thing only has about 150 calories, so pair it with some broth-based soup. No exciting soups in the house? Zazzle up that bowl with some extra canned veggies, beans, bacon bits... whatever you can find.

HG Soup Picks: Progresso's Light line includes 14 varieties with less than 100 calories per serving. Our favorite is the Southwestern-Style Vegetable -- it's filling, delicious, and packed with chunky veggies and Mexican spices.

Dinner: Meatless Meaty Pasta

If this dinner description has you scratchin' your head, just continue reading. Say you have a box of whole-wheat pasta, but you don't know what to do with it for dinner. Open up a can of crushed tomatoes -- generally lower in fat AND cheaper than premade tomato sauce -- and set it to a simmer on the stove. Then start seasoning! Go wild with the spice rack. Then head to the freezer for some protein. Any ground-beef-style soy crumbles? Heat in a skillet and toss with the pasta and sauce. Veggie burgers also work -- just cook and cut into pieces, and voila! Dinner is served...

HG Meatless Picks: Our soy crumbles of choice come from Boca and Morningstar Farms. There's no browning, crumbling, or draining involved, and they totally satisfy meat cravings.

Dessert: Two-Ingredient Cake

We know what you're thinking... "But Hungry Girl, I don't have any fresh eggs, milk, or butter." No problem. In fact, it's better that way. Just mix a 12-oz. can (1 1/2 cups) of diet soda with an 18.25-oz. box of cake mix. Then bake in the oven at 350 degrees. That's it! But don't be afraid to experiment with whatever kinds you have. Another option that works great with cake mix is canned pure pumpkin (Libby's is the best). Note: Make sure it's canned pure pumpkin, NOT pumpkin pie filling. PPF is way higher in calories and loaded with sugar.

HG Cake Combo Picks: Yellow cake mix + diet cream soda = YUM! Sweet, moist, and awesome. And devil's food cake mix + canned pumpkin is especially decadent. It tastes EXACTLY like rich, fudgy brownies!
