Holiday Stress? Dulce De Leche-drizzled Brownies Can Help

Feeling a bit frazzled as Christmas approaches? Take a dessert break! Amp-up your brownies with a drizzle of dulce de leche and a dash of sea salt. Pair them with a glass of cold milk and you've got something really special. Perfectly suited for holiday gatherings, these also work for magic or astronomy-themed parties.

Ingredients

4 large eggs
1/2 cup flour, sifted (and some more for dusting)
1 cup sugar, sifted
1 cup brown sugar
8 ounces butter, melted
1 1/4 cups cocoa, sifted
1/3 cup chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dulce de leche
sea salt for sprinkling
butter for greasing pan
star-shaped cookie cutter (optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325° F. Butter and flour an 8-inch baking dish.

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs until fluffy. Add sugars, melted butter, cocoa, vanilla, flour, chocolate chips and salt. Mix to combine.

3. Pour the batter into the baking dish and bake for 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from oven and let brownies completely cool.

4. Cut brownies into star shapes with large cookie cutter. Drizzle with dulce de leche and sprinkle with sea salt.
