Marinated Steak Barbeque

Everybody grills a little bit different, but I have a couple of great ideas to have a juicy, tender, marinated Steak for your summer picnic or outdoor BBQ.

Step 1: Get some steak: Be it Rib Eye, New York, T - Bone, or Prime Rib.
Step 2: Buy a Marinade: I like to purchase Jack Daniels original recipe marinade. Found at most grocery stores. I marinated the meat overnight. Makes it juicy, and tasty.

Step 3: Prepare a rub. I found this basic rub recipe online and altered it a bit. Mine only used 4 of the ingredients in different quantities.

Basic Rub:
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon mustard powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon brown sugar
4 tablespoons ground paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Step 4:
Prepare Le Grill: Light it and turn it on high heat. Wait for it to get to temperature.
Take steaks out from the fridge. Sprinkle on your rub; some like it heavy, others like it light.

Now, what I do that differs from others is that I cook it on the Middle rack. Cook it for 6-9 minutes per side. Don't flip it or push the meat down with the spatula (it takes the juice out). Let each side cook for the proper time, then flip. Then I take it to the bottom rack to get flamed for a min. or less per side.

Step 5: Enjoy! You can add a salad or coleslaw, or beans, or corn-on-the-cob etc.
