Party Food Idea: Brunch on a Stick

When our whole family gets together, it's a party. So I didn't need a birthday as an excuse to make party food for breakfast last Saturday (and back by popular demand on Sunday). I made the first "brunch on a stick" and then my niece/nephews made the rest. Everyone refilled their own skewer. Several times. My job was just to keep the french toast coming. By the end there may or may not have been skewer fights, but we won't show you that. Brunch on a Stick Recipe (inspired by Did Someone Say Party Site )Ingredients: French toast in bite sized pieces (as you normally prepare it, but see below for my technique) Strawberries, stems cut Banana, sliced Skewers French toast technique: My brother in law makes the world's best french toast. It is definitely dessert for breakfast. I've adapted some of his techniques, but I don't have the french toast magic hands that he does. I used 3 types of bread throughout the weekend: french bread, raisin bread, and bagels. I cut them into large bite sized pieces and toss them in a bowl with eggs, milk, splash of a vanilla, cinnamon, pinch of salt, and a spoonful of sugar (my brother-in-laws secret weapon). Heat butter in the pan. Add pieces of bread. Add butter as needed.
