Throw everything you know about cookies out the window!

I have to admit, I love quick-and-easy recipes. This adorable confetti cookie bark fits the bill. I started with cookie dough and added my own creative ingredients. The resulting sweet treat is as versatile as it is delicious - try serving it at a kids' party or even a baby shower.

Ingredients

1 pouch (16 oz - 1 lb) of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1/2 cup of vanilla baking chips
colorful confetti sprinkles
1 1/2 teaspoons of vegetable oil

Directions

1. Heat oven to 350°F, or as directed on the cookie dough package.

2. Spray an oven tray (including the sides) with cooking spray, or use a sheet of parchment paper. Place all cookie dough rounds on the tray and press them together so you form a big, flat rectangle.

3. Top the dough with sprinkles. Place in the oven and bake for 11 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Take out and cool for about 30 minutes.

4. Microwave the vanilla chips and oil for 30 seconds, take out and stir. Repeat this process until it's melted.

5. Dip a fork in the melted chips and drizzle onto the cookie bar. Add some more sprinkles (it's better if these are bigger than the first ones you used) and let stand until set.

6. Break into irregular pieces and store in an airtight container.
