Well I guess the fast food industry waited too long between crazy new food "inventions" so they decided that Dunkin Donuts was next in line, and they decided to come up with this. The Blueberry waffle breakfast sandwich is almost like a KFC double down or Friendly's grilled cheese sandwich that replaces the usual bun or biscuit with some other crazy item. I guess if you're in a huge hurry in the morning and need to eat everything in three bites that would normally take about 100 this would be a great option for you. However if you are like most people and just want to have a normal sandwich or perhaps just two Eggo waffles in the morning than this sandwich might not be for you. This is the only flavor of sandwich that they offer currently, but I suspect that if everything goes well that we could definitely see some different flavors of waffles, and perhaps they'll copy the McGriddle sandwich even more by offering a maple flavored sandwich or something. Dunkin Donuts says "The breakfast sandwich you fell in love with, now with blueberries. Two blueberry flavored waffles, scrambled egg, maple flavored sausage, and American cheese. How can it get any better?" Not much better is what im guessing...

The taste of this sandwich isn't too hot because it has so much going on. First you have the egg patty which by it-self has strong flavors, then combined with a maple sausage patty and you're already over the limit, but then they finally add one more thing being the blueberry waffles and now you're overboard. Oh yeah, I forgot to mentioned the slice of cheese on there as well which personally I could've done with out because who ever puts cheese on their waffles anyways? The texture could've been better if the waffle was more crisp and crunchy, but instead it was soft and blended with every other soft item in the sandwich (which is everything). Lastly, it would be a much smarter idea to just order a doughnut off of their menu because it would be healthier, so if you arent looking for a heart attack in your morning routine go ahead and skip this new concoction. Overall (2 out of 5). But hey at least it provides you with some healthy blueberries right?

The pros is that the sandwich has blueberry waffles.

The cons are that the taste and texture of the sandwich are too overwhelming, and the nutrition is awful.
