Would You Pay $6 For a Drive-Thru Burger?

"The Six Dollar Steakhouse Thickburger includes mayo, A.1.® Steak Sauce, crumbled blue cheese, crispy onion strings, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and a 100% Black Angus beef patty on a seeded bun." You would think with a six dollar burger that anything but perfection would be a let down, so they're really putting all their eggs in one basket with this new burger. This burger became available this week and we thought it sounded pretty interesting, so we set out to review the six dollar burger with extremely high hopes.

We'll just jump right into the review and say this burger might not be worth the $6 price tag, however it's still a pretty good burger. The burger it-self is nice and juicy, not to mention how big the patty is. The extra toppings were a bit much at times and didn't contribute to the overall flavor of the burger, they just got in the way sometimes. This burger would be even better if you didn't order it with the mayo, and just used the steak sauce instead. The blue cheese added a little twang to the burger that you normally don't get with a fast food burger. The Swiss cheese didn't stand out as much as the blue cheese, rather the Swiss flavor got overpowered and we really couldn't taste it. The crispy onions on-top of the don't add much in terms of flavor, but they do contribute in an added crunch that would otherwise be missing. Overall (3.5 out of 5).

The pros are that it's a big juicy burger with good taste, and nice texture combinations.

The cons are that it's too expensive, the nutrition is out of control, and the mayo is unnecessary.
