which is why we caught up with the new mom andAlmaybrand ambassador to find outhow she maintained her radiant glow during pregnancy and beyond. "When I was pregnant, I found that I did have a lot of hormonal skin issues," Hudson told InStyle.com. "I had to adjust my skincare routine accordingly during those nine months, and again after I had my son Bingham."Find out how she did it below!

1. Leave Airbrushing for the Pros
"I think airbrushed, cakey-looking makeup isn't nearly as beautiful as actually seeing someone's skin, so I look for products that even out tone while providing a bit of coverage," said Hudson, who prefers the natural look. "I'm a big fan of being able to see my skin, even if I am wearing makeup, so I go for a product with light coverage, then add a few swipes of concealer wherever I think I need it."

2. Watch Your Diet
Hudson noticed that her skin reacted differently depending on what she ate. "It was important to watch what I had, but I'm a big believer in doing what your body tells you, and I don't like to stress out over that," Hudson confessed. "If your body is craving ice cream, I say go have some! At the same time, it's your responsibility to say that what you're doing is healthy for you, your baby, and your skin."

3. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
"Pregnancy does different things to everyone's skin. Some people get dry skin, and some people break out," Hudson said. "It's really important to stay hydrated for yourself and your baby, and I found that my skin was more cooperative the more hydrated I was."

4. Less Is More
During Hudson's pregnancy, she found the key to keeping her skin clear was to use lighter products. "It was important to use less on my face, and to find products that weren't heavy," Hudson said. "One of my favorite products is Almay's Smart Shade Foundation ($11; almay.com). It was light enough that I just applied it the same way I put on moisturizer!"

5. Post-Baby: Keep Your Skin Issues in Mind
"After I had Bingham, it was so funny, because my skin seemed to go back to normal," the new mom told us. "I was able to go back to using the products I did before my pregnancy, but had to keep in mind that my skin was still somewhat sensitive. I use more sensitive skin products now, and products that don't cause a lot of build up."
