User post: Stripes, wide leg trousers and loose waves

I must say, I've really been adoring stripes lately. Pair it with classic skinny pants and ballet flats and you'll have the perfect outfit for gallivanting around town, lunch with the ladies or running errands. To vamp up your look for the evening add a fitted black blazer, a flouncy skirt and ankle booties.

I am also loving the wide leg trouser. Whether denim or traditional pant, this sophisticated look pays homage to the seventies. I know that I have practically worn holes in my skinny jeans, though the wide leg is stylish, sexy and elongating.

Lastly, nothing says sexy more than loose waves. Sultry, voluminous waves are coveted and you can have it too! It is like icing on the cake. I like looks from Blake Lively, Demi Moore, Heidi Klum and Sarah Jessica Parker.

I use Moroccan Oil Light serum on my hair when it's damp. I then take a round brush and blow dry hair in small sections adding instant volume (I start from the nape of the neck and move to the front of the face). Once your hair is fully dried, use a curling iron (mine is 1 and 3/4 thick) and curl your hair in small sections (less than 2 inches). Carefully spiral your hair (I start from end then to root) curling in the direction you want the curls to fall (typically away from the face). Once finished run your fingers through gently to achieve a soft look. You can also spritz some hair spray to keep your look.

I say, practice makes perfect. Once you get comfortable using the hot iron, you can play with the way you curl it. It truly adds va va voom without looking too overdone. I hope you enjoy these thoughts for the week!
