What you need:
Patterned scrapbook paper, clothespins, ribbon, scissors

Instructions:
Using colorful patterned paper, cut out free-form letters to spell "I" and "Dad." Cut out a heart shape for the word love. (Younger children will need adult supervision.) Cut a long piece of ribbon and tape it across a doorway or entryway. Attach the letters and the heart to the ribbon with clothespins to spell out "I 'Heart' Dad." Surprise Dad with this loving message.

Number 1 Dad badge
What you need:

Crepe paper, felt, rickrack, scissors, glue, wooden clothespin

Instructions:
Out of felt, cut a circle about 2 1/2" in diameter. Gather crepe paper and glue it around the circle. Optional: Edge felt circle with rickrack and glue to circle. Create a streamer from several pieces of crepe paper and glue to back of circle. Trim bottom edge of streamer. Cut a numeral 1 out of a different color of felt and glue to front of badge.

A clever card to make Dad's day

What you need:
White card stock, scrap patterned cotton fabric, glue stick, scissors, ruler

Instructions:
Create a blank folded card about 4 1/2" wide by 5 1/4" high. Starting at the top center of the front
of the card, cut out a tie shape and remove. Place a small piece of patterned fabric behind the cut-
out shape and glue to inside of card. Cut out two diamonds to make the collar and glue them at
top of card. Take a smaller sheet of cardstock and glue to inside of card to cover the back of the
fabric.
