Fire Signs

Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

The Fire Sign traveler is red-hot and on the go. Aries, Leo and Sagittarius don't have much tolerance for sitting around. Their vacations are often filled with vim and vigor, adventure and exploration. Backpacking, camping and sporting trips are always a high priority, and rest assured that a lot of ground gets covered when the Fire Signs blaze the trail. The further away a vacation destination is, the more appealing it is to Sag. Earth Signs

Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn

When an Earth Sign makes a travel plan, the world stops turning to acknowledge its existence. Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn usually take the dominant role as trip planner, mostly because the trip details are more important to them than to the other signs. Often they will pack and re-pack again, and they've even been known to memorize whole itineraries and important phone numbers before leaving home. Earth Signs are always looking for cost-efficient travel and they love to find a good deal on a classy holiday in a great destination. And as further proof of their frugality in travel, Taurus, Virgo and Cap will choose a destination simply because their native currency will stretch there. Of all the Earth Signs, Taurus is not a big traveler; they prefer to stay close to home. If they go anywhere, they like to be very comfortable and to have as many creature comforts around them as possible, including a set of beautiful luggage. They're not big fans of short trips, and they're more likely to travel in their older years when they feel the freedom of living on their own time.

One could set a watch by Virgo's propensity for being on time; when they travel they like to follow a schedule. Virgo especially likes to hunt for the best travel deal around. It makes Virgo very uncomfortable to overspend, over-schedule or over-pack, and they will do what they can to avoid all three. Virgo can at times be guilty of trying to fit too much into their schedule, and they must also be careful with foreign foods due to their often delicate digestive systems.

Capricorn also likes to look for the best price, but they don't like to show their bargain-hunting side as freely as Virgo. Capricorn is more willing to part with their money if they can travel in style. This Earth Sign loves to gain experience and knowledge from their trips, especially in their older years. It's better for the Goat if their trip has a purpose and a goal in mind. They like to view objects of great value and style, such as the Taj Mahal, the Crown Jewels or the Pyramids. Air Signs

Gemini, Libra, Aquarius

Air Sign travelers pack their bags looking for a pure cultural experience that they can learn from, and they love to bring that knowledge home with them. Gemini, Libra and Aquarius immerse themselves in other countries and cultures. These Signs are also quite quick to pick up a new language before leaving for a new place, and they feel most comfortable arming themselves with maps, guidebooks and any other tools to assist in their orientation in a new area. Libras much prefer to travel with a companion and are quite unlikely to travel on their own. They, like Gemini, may get bored in one place if they stay too long. Aquarius will step up to the plate of any traveling challenge. The weirder, more remote or more unique a travel experience is, the more Aquarius wants to venture forth. Water Signs

Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

When in Rome, the Water Signs can easily do as the Romans do. The best thing about this traveler is that they can easily go with the flow. Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are social chameleons. When visiting an area, they pick up the regional accent immediately; they have an uncanny ability to blend in with the locals and move amongst them. They are very cognizant of the vibes and the culture around them, and they act accordingly and are respectful at all times. A Water Sign traveler is likely to go somewhere for a visit and then decide to lengthen their stay indefinitely. They're not particular about their needs, and they have few if any demands for creature comforts.
