Does an 18-Month-Old Belong in Soccer Class?
Both my guys seem to enjoy dribbling a soccer ball around.
I'm impressed with Fuzz's abilities already. He easily kicks the ball around until it ends up in a bush or a ditch, then retrieves it and starts all over again. Of course, I'm no expert on sports, as I was one of those last-picked types in gym class, but to me it seems like he's relatively coordinated in this arena, and he seems to be enjoying it.
I recently got an e-mail from my local yahoo group about a toddler soccer class. I'm wondering if bringing an 18 month-old to soccer "class" is too early. I'm loathe to enroll him in any classes because I find they tend to restrict us more than we enjoy going to such classes, which is the opposite of what I felt when Shnook was the same age. Back then, I felt stressed out that we weren't doing enough or that I wasn't trying to cultivate his interests.
