Last week, 7-year-old Emily G. lost a tooth. She pulled it out herself at her brother's football game. Her mother, Tennille, put it in a ziplock bag to make sure she wouldn't lose it, and put it in the car.

Here's where the unthinkable happened.

Tennille left the tooth in the car. "We were really tired after being at a football game all day," said Tennille. So she told her daughter she would get it in the morning to leave under the pillow the following night. It seemed like a good plan, until Emily decided to write a letter.

Emily's grandmother sent Ellen the photo of the letter she wrote. Nobody said parenting was easy.
