Like most of you, we live in jeans--but those crazy designer price tags have us always searching for the elusive pair of on-trend denim that won't break our budget. We tracked down six of our favorite styles under $50, and model and Thread host Jess Stam is here to show us how best to wear our favorite denim trends. Be top of the heap (and on top of your budget) with these fabulous and wallet-friendly finds!

Coated denim (Joe Fresh, $49) - A slick way to get the leather look for less, these are best paired with a textured tee and ankle boots. Try them in the fall's hot color (oxblood) for an extra layer of awesome.

Tuxedo jeans (H&M, $19.95) - Get that sophisticated silhouette without sacrificing comfort! Jeans with a chic side panel are an easy way to dress up your outfit, especially when topped with a tuxedo-lapel blazer.

Zipper-detailed jeans (Forever21, $27.80) - Urban and edgy, these babies are the motorcycle jacket of the denim world and look great with sleek black pumps and a fun neon top.

Tapered baggy jeans (American Eagle, $39.95) - Much more flattering than the baggy-all-over boyfriend jean, these nip in at all the right places for a fashion-forward (and super comfy) style. Metallic heels and a simple fitted top give them a sexier feel.

Printed denim (Simply Vera by Vera Wang, $50) - From polka dots to plaids, this spring trend is here to stay! When you're playing with printed jeans, be sure to keep everything else simple. A cropped moto jacket and chunky black boots is all you need to make this style work for you.

Flared jeans (ASOS, $35.18) - Universally flattering, this silhouette never goes out of vogue. A silky button down top, jewel-toned pumps and gold jewelry lends a '70s air to classic jeans.
