How to Sweat-proof Your Makeup

Every girl wants to look cool at a concert, but sweating it out during all-day summer music festivals can be rough on your beauty look. We've rounded up some essential products and tips to stay fresh-faced even in the hottest, grimiest of environments. (Kristen Stewart, pictured left at Coachella, we hope you're listening.)

Use oil-free makeup primers

They're like double-stick tape for your face. Lid primer can prevents eyeshadow creasing and flaking, and also makes the color pop. You can also seek out cream-to-powder eyeshadows like CoverGirl Intense ShadowBlast Eyeshadow (with built in primer) that won't budge.

Opt for tints
We love thick, bold lipstick, but in the heat they can smear into a goopy mess. We love CoverGirl Outlast Lip Stain, a marker-like product gives that just-ate-a-popsicle look and lasts for hours. Tinted lip balm is another great option. For cheeks, ditch the cakey powder bronzers and blushes, and work with cream-based products that rub into your dewy skin.

Look for double-tasking cosmetics
The less makeup you layer on, the less likely it will slide off your face. Tinted moisturizers with SPF already added are a great two-in-one item. A creamy highlighting stick that applies to eyes, lips, and cheeks is ideal for an easy, mirror-less application.

Waterproof it
Avoid runny raccoon eyes with a waterproof version like Max Factor Stretch & Separate Waterproof Mascara. Look for waterproof eyeliners too.

Keep sweat at bay
Powder-coated blotting papers, facial spray mists, and makeup remover wipes are your friend! Stash these items in your bag for an immediate way to fix, set, or remove your makeup and feel instantly refreshed.

Voila! A pretty face that looks clean and fresh all day long.
