Three Things We Loved Today: New York Fashion Week Day 7

Today was the last full day of New York Fashion Week! Tear! We've loved showing you the hottest fashion and beauty looks this season, and hope you've enjoyed following along! Many big-name designers presented today (Michael Kors, Marchesa, and Rachel Zoe to name a few), and we also spotted loads of celebs in the front row making a mental shopping list (we're talking to you Katherine Heigl, Hilary Swank, Zoe Saldana, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Willow Smith.) Meanwhile, backstage we were getting pointers on creating a beautiful makeup look using all affordable drugstore products (hell, yes!). Without further ado: here are our Day 7 highlights:

1. Velvet at J. Mendel

Perhaps it's the '90s fashion resurgence, but we want to make like George Costanza and drape ourselves in velvet. Preferably in an standout color like chartreuse.

2. Miley Cyrus at Rachel Zoe

There was no shortage of celebs today, but no one makes an entrance quite like a pop star. See all the people behind Miley waiting to take her photo? Picture that times 100. We got pushed and shoved trying to get a clear shot. For the record: that girl is funny and she looks fierce.

3. Fancy sweatshirts at Milly by Michelle Smith

Upscale, elaborate sweatshirts are possibly the biggest trend for fall, and we saw dozens of gorgeous ones we'd want to dress up and dress down. This dual-tone metallic design is our favorite we've seen thus far.

Stay tuned for more of our fashion week coverage, and be sure keep up with the latest on our Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest pages!
