Affordable Star Style for Fall

Celebrity style is all about getting the look of the moment, and we're all about figuring out how to put that look together at an affordable price. We invited Danielle, a Thread viewer, to our studio to be styled from head to toe- or should we say from smoky eyes to peep-toe booties?- in the hot look for fall, inspired by the stars we love.

The clothes: The starlet who is really rocking the look of the moment right now is Dakota Fanning. We love how she puts together variations on the skinny jeans + tank top + jacket formula and always gives a feminine edge to a traditionally tough-chic style. Everything we needed for Dakota's look, we found on the racks at Target. Here's what we picked for Danielle- a boyfriend blazer, skinny jeans, a light pink tank top, tassel scarf and adorable peep-toe booties with rosettes on the side.

The Hair: Zoe Saldana, Jennifer Aniston and Megan Fox always seem to have perfectly shiny, healthy-looking hair. They probably have a professional stylist creating their look every time we see them, but you can get the same sleek results by using the right products. We shampooed and conditioned Danielle's hair with Pantene's natureFUSION collection which helps protect hair from the damage that can come with styling. Then we gave it a quick blow dry, ran a flat iron through it and. . . voila! The result looks as if we spent hours not minutes.

The Makeup: We love bold, dramatic eyes this fall and we've seen them on sexy stars like Christina Hendricks and Julie Bowen who know how to work the look by balancing the intensity of their lids with a soft, pink lip. First, we prepped Danielle's skin with Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream, a luxurious moisturizer with anti-aging benefits. We learned from a recent chat with a dermatologist that we all need to start thinking about protecting our skin BEFORE the aging process starts. Next, we showed Danielle how easy it is to create a daytime smoky eye framed by mile-long lashes with CoverGirl's LashBlast Mascara. The finishing touch: soft pink lipgloss to add some shine.

And last, because this look is so easy to do at home we didn't want to let Danielle leave empty-handed. She left with a Thread basket of the hair & makeup products we used, as well as our favorites from Secret, Clairol, and Venus.
