Consider the half lash

It does not make sense to me that the same friends who consider mascara as essential as a toothbrush are deathly afraid of fake eyelashes. What is there to be afraid of?? I tell them they are depriving themselves of one of the most fun—not to mention effective—makeup tools available. They say they have their reasons. For one thing, the glue. They don’t want to glue their eyelids together. (This will never happen—it’s not Krazy Glue.) But most of all they don’t want to "look like the guy from 'A Clockwork Orange,'" who only had one lash on, I might add.

Here’s my suggestion: a half strip of lashes.

Some makeup artists prefer individual lashes because they create a more "natural" effect. To me they are also more labor intensive. I prefer the strips for their instant drama. Half lashes are much easier to glue than a full strip-- you can control the placement better-- and they allow you to create volume and length in the outer corner of your eye which is the area that will give you the most impact. When you get the hang of the half, you can graduate to the next level.

Play around with it and let me know how it goes. Happy gluing!
