Get Heidi Klum's “Lucky†cover look
Let's be honest, Heidi Klum could make a paper bag look amazing but we were particularly taken with the styling of the gorgeous Alberta Ferretti dress she wore on the March cover of Lucky magazine. See how we created an affordable version of her sexy, modern look for a Thread viewer.
The color of Heidi's dress makes us feel excited for spring. In fact, we reported that the bright, bold honeysuckle shade-also known as fuschia or poppy -would be the hit of 2011. We love the way her accessories give the flirty, flutter-sleeved sheath a rocker edge and how her natural-looking makeup puts the emphasis on her eyes.
In keeping with the mission of The Thread, we set about creating a budget-friendly version of Heidi's outfit for one of our viewers. Krisztina looks fantastic in a dress by Jessica Simpson ($128). We were particularly proud of the accessories we found: a black and gold resin cuff from BCBG ($28), a jeweled bird ring from Rachel Rachel Roy ($24), a daintier ring from Topshop ($18), a silver cuff from fantasyjewelrybox.com ($39.95), a leather bracelet from Fossil ($40) and studded horn earrings also from Rachel Rachel Roy ($40).
