"Sex and the City" Looks for Less

Academy of Country Music red carpet highlights

A reported 10 million dollars was spent on outfitting Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda for the Sex and the City sequel. As usual, the ladies are wearing top designers (Chanel, Dior, Hermes), thanks to Pat Field. But we've got each character's signature look for much much less.

Carrie's
style continues to be a unique mix of high fashion and playfulness. Remember that white Halston Heritage V-neck dress SJP is wearing in all of the posters? Well, we found an XOXO version that's got the exact same silhouette. To complete Carrie's look, add gold pumps from Franco Sarto, a colorful necklace from Macy's (just $6!) and a $9 ivory studded clutch from Payless.

We love how Samantha still pushes the envelope with bodycon dresses and short hemlines. We found an affordable Arden B. dress with sexy cutouts, just like Samantha's. Add some Ben-Amun gold hoops, a faux python clutch from Style&co., and top it off with Rampage ivory platform mules.

Even in this sequel, Charlotte is very much the traditional girl with 1950s inspired silhouettes, A-line skirts and feminine details. To channel your inner Charlotte, try a ruffle dress from Max & Chloe, seafoam pumps from Amiclubwear, and a leather tote from Kathy Van Zeeland.

Miranda's clothes flatter her curves without revealing too much. Her clothes come with an Upper East Side price tag- but, as we found out, they don't have to! Check out the pink sheath dress we picked up from Kohl's paired with these pink peeptoe platforms from Amiclubwear.
