When Sofia hit U.S. television two years ago with “Modern Family,” the Colombian actress inspired legions of ladies to grow their hair and whip out their eyeliner. The self-described makeup junkie--who happens to be a natural blonde-- credits her Latin heritage for her love of makeup. She grew up learning to play with lip color, and her embrace of the cat-eye trend may be why it’s such a must-do this season.
When it comes to style, Sofia certainly knows how to dress for her curves. She loves the Old Hollywood look of strapless, waist-accentuating gowns. When she’s off-duty, you won’t see her pulling on a pair of baggy sweats and sneakers. She showcases her long legs in skinny jeans and high heels. Keeping the style bar high at all times, however, doesn’t mean Sofia believes in spending a fortune or being a size zero. Last fall she debuted her Kmart line, Sofia by Sofia Vergara, which is full of affordable figure-flattering clothes, shoes, and accessories so every girl can spice up her wardrobe.
