Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak to be freed

Former Egyptian president Mubarak, who was overthrown in 2011, will be released from jail within days after a prosecutor cleared him on corruption charges. The news comes as a new surge of violence, 25 policemen were killed in an ambush in Egypt and as the U.S. is reportedly taking the first steps to withhold economic assistance from Egypt.
