Sen. Paul announces support for removing chain of command from military sexual assault cases

Sens. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, explained their approval of the legislation that would put a prosecutor, instead of a military commander, at the head of military sexual assault cases. By backing this legislation proposed by Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, the conservative Republicans are "a great example of how people from both sides can come together to work on an issue," Paul said.
