Dell Inc shareholder Yacktman Asset Management said it plans to support Carl Icahn and Southeastern Asset Management's buyout proposal for the PC maker.
Before Don Mattrick surprised everyone with the announcement that he was leaving Microsoft to join Zynga as its CEO, the former Xbox?boss was reportedly interested in acquiring the social gaming company. According to Bloomberg, Mattrick met with Zynga founder and then CEO Mark Pincus in 2010 about Microsoft potentially purchasing the company.
Clearwire Corp. says its shareholders have voted in favor of selling the rest of its shares to majority owner Sprint Nextel Corp. Sprint hopes the deal will make it more competitive with bigger rivals Verizon Wireless and AT&T Inc. It had to raise its original bid to $5 per share for Clearwire to overcome a competing bid from Dish Network.
