Celebrity Dating Advice From the Millionaire Matchmaker

This morning I interviewed Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger about dating, celebrity romance, and her new DVD, Married in a Year. While later I'll tell you what dating tips she has for us commoners, I thought first you'd like to hear her thoughts on celebrity dating.

In classic Patti style, she pinpoints the celebrity dating dilemma without a coat of sugar. "Who do they meet? They're not going to date the cameraman. The only person who's done that is Julia Roberts, and she stole him from another man's wife. So it's like who do they really meet on a daily basis? They're meeting other actors, at the SAG Awards and the Oscars. It's like they're going to their high school reunion every year."

So on that note, let's see what she has in mind for Scarlett Johansson, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Aniston.

  • Kim Kardashian: "Kim has dated a lot of athletes. Maybe she needs to get out of athlete land and go to something that's a little bit more substantial. A celebrity who's maybe an actor, an A-list actor, who can let her shine but has also been there before and can teach her the ropes to go to the next level."

  • Scarlett Johansson: "Scarlett's very, very young. I don't know the situation between her and Ryan. I don't know what went down. It looked like they were very much passionately involved with one another, it might be a situation where he's on one coast and she's on another. And that's tough, that's rough, being in another town. Especially when you're married.
    But it could also be a case of age, she's in her early 20s, she's learning what life is about and he's in his 30s. So the key is find someone who is compatible with you in your routine, in your daily life. Just because you're sexually compatible doesn't mean you're good for a relationship."

  • Jennifer Aniston: "Jennifer needs to get out of Hollywood. She should look for a noncelebrity, because you're not going to top Brad Pitt in the media world. Maybe a business man, who's just as attractive, but lets her shine on the carpet."
