You may be going through some trails right now. You may be under a microscope with those around you watching your every move. They want you to misstep in order to build themselves up. You may have many enemies trying to form against you. In the midst of it all what are you doing? Are you conforming to the thoughts of doubt and regret? Are you giving in to self?
I want to share with you what I have read during my studying and discussions with those who share with me and my walk. We were all reminded to not give in to the negative. If you have hurt someone, ask the Lord and the person to forgive you. If the person accepts it, then they are of Christ. If not, well they may feel they are ahead. They are like the beginning of the story of the prodigal son who during his downtrodden time, wallowed amongst the swine being tempted to eat what they ate. (The other part of his story is also good (he returns to his father), but that is for another day.)
While in his own created emotional torment, he may have felt like your enemies are feeling now:
Because although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened- they know of God but turn their back on him and believe only what they choose to believe.
Professing to be wise, they became fools- speaks for itself.
And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man-and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things- today's time would be money, clothes, recognition, anything that does not glorify the Lord.
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves- fornicators, lust for money, status, recognition, any and every desire that is not of God He allowed them to do and gave them away to their own desires.
Who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever- believes in only what they wish to believe in and worships everything mentioned above and not the Lord.
I suggest reading the entire book of Romans to also gain a full understanding as to why Paul had written the Epistle.
Now that you understand where the enemy is coming from, what do you do in the midst of it all? Don't look to the outcome expecting revenge to fall in your corner. Look to the Lord. He is the ultimate Judge in your battle. His word is the final word in this courtroom called life.
If you waste your time on "it," you are just feeding fuel to the enemy. Then you become like the enemy and act as what Paul describes in the Romans. Press forward and know that during your weakest moment, the Lord is there with you as long as you hold on to Him. "My grace is sufficient for you, My strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9)."
I had spoken with a friend out of the blue, and she reminded me of several things; one being the battle is not mine but the Lord's. Hold to His hand through it all. Do not look back at those who try to torment you, if you do then Lord will be turn his back on you. Be silent and still in action and praise Him always.
Things to remember in the midst of it all:
Trust God Honor God Praise Him Thank Him Glorify His Name Worship Him Pray to Him- for giving you the ability to be held in His Arms. Lean and depend on Him- He will honor your faith and your endurance as he did with Job. The pain may hurt but He never puts more on you than you can bare. It is a test of your endurance. Be content in Him through it all- the battle is not yours it's the Lord's.
Someone told me today that the Teacher is silent during an exam. He makes things uncomfortable for you to "purge" out of you what is holding you back from Him. Ultimately, it is about Him. You are taken and going through "stuff" for a reason.... What will your outcome be? Who or what will you follow? Are your eyes, heart, and, spirit on Him or is it on man? During your battle cry, who do you call? Remember that I love you and am praying for you always. God bless you and remember: "You've come through many hard trials, through temptation on every hand. Tho satan's tried to stop you, and to place your feet, on sinking sand. You know Jesus loves you dearly, He was there to answer your call. Was there always to protect you, for He's kept you in the midst of it all. No He's never left you, and He's never let you fall. Yes he will protect you, for He's kept you in the midst of it all." I love you guys. Thank You Jesus, Thank You Lord. I praise, honor, and worship You. Without You I am nothing. Hallelujah!! Glory to God!
