How to Throw a Football Party for Football Lovers

Even if you enjoy football's rippled bodies in spandex more than the actual plays, you can turn an afternoon in front of the TV into a blast if you huddle up and score with the following game-day party tips!

Get the Food "Ready"
No football party is complete without a smattering of health-be-darned finger foods. Chips, dips, hoagies, wings, and brats are exactly the type of cuisine you'll need to turn your Sunday afternoon into a gastrointestinal indulgence of gluttonous proportions. No need to be fancy here-after all, there's nothing elegant about football, and that's what's great about it.

"Set" the Mood
Once you've got the menu down, turn to clever food presentation to score you extra points. For a touchdown food table:
• Use a couple of yards of Astroturf (with yard lines made with white spray paint or chalk) as a tablecloth
• Decorate with tiny toy football players or helmets
• Offer paper plates and napkins in team colors
• Turn your kitchen sink into a cooler by filling it with ice and canned or bottled drinks
• Have guests write their names on their very own drink koozies (they're cute and will save guests from misplacing their beverages)
• Serve foods in fun pigskin-themed paraphernalia, such as this football condiment dish or NFL Snack Helmut (available in your team's colors, of course).

"Hike" up the Volume
Silly decorations and costumes can shift the game into party mood. Your guests will surely cheer louder when they are wearing a drink helmet or funny foam hats. Go team!
