Join us! Spirit Day 10/20/11

Walk around Yahoo! offices on Thursday, October 20, and you may be seeing more purple than usual. We're joining a slew of other companies, celebrities, and other caring folks to take a stand against bullying on the second annual Spirit Day.

Spirit Day began last year following the deaths of young people like Jamie Hubley, Jamey Rodemeyer, and Brittany McMillan, who committed suicide after enduring years of anti-gay bullying at school and online.

As part of National Bullying Prevention Month, teachers and workers at several companies will be wearing purple (comes pretty naturally to us!) in support of anti-bullying measures to put an end to the discrimination and bullying gay young people are subjected to all over the world.
