The Wizard of Oz
Here's a classic everyone can appreciate! An irresistible protagonist, played by an iconic actress; a villain you love to hate; and a truly fantastic plot will have you clicking your heels and saying, "There's no place like Oz." Rated G.
Possibly one of the most inspirational and uplifting movies ever, Rudy is also a kid-friendly flick. Although it isn't the typical tale of the underdog making it big, the real-life story of Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger is so motivational that we dare you not to cry (joyfully) at the end. Rated PG.
The Lion King
One of the most versatile of the classically animated Disney movies, The Lion King gives the adults something to think about as well - it's a modern adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Boys and girls alike love it, and the music throughout is simply amazing. Rated G.
The Sound of Music
This musical family film, starring Julie Andrews, is the definition of a feel-good flick. Venture into the gorgeous European countryside with Maria and the Von Trapp family. Your children will be wildly entertained, and you'll feel as if you're 16 going on 17 again. Rated G.
One part Disney princess and one part New York City combine to make the perfect recipe for an irresistible new classic. Amy Adams plays the reality-struck Giselle, while Patrick Dempsey stars as one of her love interests. The musical scores will have you singing aloud next time you stroll through Central Park! Back to the Future
This sci-fi-inspired flick will definitely keep the men of the house entertained. In this whimsical tale of time travel, Marty McFly goes back in time but must work to ensure that his parents meet and fall in love so he can get back to the future. Rated PG.
