Fit Perez posted some great pictures of Nicole Richie and Khloe Kardashian leaving Tracy Anderson's L.A. gym together. I loved them for how great the women looked after (presumably) sweating just moments before-and for their matching black Birkins. (I am pining for an Hermes gym bag now!)

What I loved was that they had just worked out together. It turns out it's a great trick to keep in mind as you hit the middle of January and your drive to keep up your New Year's workout resolution dwindles.

For starters, when you're at the gym with a friend, you keep each other motivated. And you're less likely to blow a workout off if you're meeting someone there. But the real surprise? A study by the University of Oxford in England found that exercising with friends produces more pleasure than working out alone and consequently more endorphins. More endorphins enable you to work out longer and harder!

Do you prefer to work out alone or with a friend?
