Fashion that Makes Us Sad: $1,000 Cat Print Bag Made of Animal Fur
Here at Shine, we love cats. So while this cat purse by H. Lorenzo looks kind of silly, there's part of us that smiles at the idea of carrying a little kitty around instead of a traditional handbag. But upon further investigation we've decided that this purse makes us sad.
First, there's the price. We'd never ever consider paying $1,085 for such a novelty item, and we'd be surprised to see who would. And then we realized why this bag costs so much. The soft back and edges are actually gray rabbit fur.
We're animal lovers who enjoy a fashionable tribute to a great pet, and the idea of carrying around a purse made of dead bunnies makes us feel ill. Cute cat purse = suddenly not so cute.
